About

"I BELIEVE IN OWNING LASTING THINGS that spark joy, appreciation, and love. In this spirit, I hope to craft beautiful objects that hold memories and meaning and are worthy of being passed down from generation to generation."

GUY LANDGRAF is an artisan who uses wood as his medium.

Inspired by the timeless designs of Shaker, Japanese, and Scandinavian furniture, his work explores clean, soothing forms that enhance the natural beauty of the wood itself. His practice is informed by the Japanese aesthetic of “Wabi-Sabi,” an appreciation for the beauty of imperfection.

After completing his associate degree in fine art from William Rainey Harper College and his bachelor’s in fine art-painting from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Landgraf worked for many years as a finish carpenter. Through the study of art and his years in the workshop, he has honed an appreciation for the beauty of natural materials and the intention of creating an object of quality.
